Bangor Golf Club is situated on the outskirts of Bangor overlooking Belfast lough and the Antrim Hills.
It is a Private Members Club with upwards of 1000 playing and social members.
Bangor Golf Club was founded in 1903 with a nine hole golf course. The 18 hole layout was designed by James Braid and although it has been modified it still retains many of its original features.
The course is continually maturing, trees planted in the early days are now to be seen in their full beauty and the fairways and greens would do justice to many a more famous course.
There are stunning views of the Belfast Lough, the Antrim Hills, the Irish Sea and the coast of Scotland from the top of the 4th hill and the view from the Clubhouse windows, after a successful round cannot be beaten. |
